PVP Rules
It's important to keep in mind that this is not a PVP-focused site. We allow PVP (and some of us encourage it), but it is not the main focus of the game.
PVP is OPTIONAL. A thread must be labeled [PVP] in order to classify as such. If someone joins the thread they are consenting to risk a Character Death. Some events will be considered PVP Events and follow the same logic. If you join the thread you're consenting to risk your Character.
PVP fights should always make logical sense and be in character.
Types of PVP Threads
Character Deaths
These are the basic rules to either retiring a character or losing a character to a PVP death:

- Your character could die
- Your bloodline could be stolen (if you have one)
- Your Tailed Beast could be released (which could kill you)
- Etc. Etc.

Types of PVP Threads
Private PVP (Deathmatch)
This is a closed party, meaning only those invited by the player of the topic can join the fight. These fights generally don't have any stakes to anyone other than the people involved. Villages can't be targeted.
This fight may take due to shinobi being on conflicting sides during a mission. Or two shinobi who have a personal grudge and are willing to die over it.

Public PVP (Chaos Match)
Anyone within 72 hours can join this topic before it LOCKS and the thread is closed to outsiders. These types of fights are open. Villages also cannot be harmed in these kinds of attacks, however they can take place inside of a village (and do a little damage to a specific location).
This type of fight might be because someone infiltrated a village looking for something and got caught (meaning several personnel team up to drive out the intruder). Or maybe it's a battle between organizations.

PVP Event (Village Attack!)
This is a Village-Wide Attack.
If one of these is going on then people within the village have a WEEK to join. After that week the ENTIRE VILLAGE FORUM WILL BE LOCKED from new topics (ongoing topics may continue however) until the thread has concluded.
Villages may be destroyed if those protecting the village are all defeated!!!
Requires the Staff Team's Permission to launch one of these, and an S-Level character! If you wish to start a Village Attack then PM Tenshi or an Admin in private to discuss the event. We are forced to keep it confidential and cannot use the information to metagame. However as players if our characters have legit reason to be involved in said event we're allowed to join (obviously).

Character Deaths

- If a character dies or is retired, then you gain 60% of the EXP accumulated on that character to apply for your next one. You must change your username to fit the new character.
- The new character cannot claim the same Clan as the previous character. This is to prevent the same players from constantly hogging the same Clan spots (looking at you, Uchiha). Please make a new character with a different clan and backstory. You will not be banned from playing the same clan twice. You just simply can't do it twice in a row.
- You cannot claim the same Unique Slot as your previous character (unless it's one of the generic ones like Juggernaut/Dual KKG/5 Elements/Etc). This is also to prevent people from hogging the same type of Restricted Jutsu.
- While "reincarnating" characters is not technically forbidden, it is frowned upon. If you decide to do this, then do it on the down-low and don't copy paste information from your previous app. It should still be a new person.
- If your character reaches a certain Level Milestone due to this EXP, they may claim a Rank Equivalent to their Starting EXP Level!
