Skills
Skills on Naruto Genesis determine your fighting style, as well as the types of Jutsu you can learn. There are 3 levels to Skills that characters can learn in order to advance in this field. This will help them better hone those skills. However you will find mastering a skill doesn't make you the best at it, nor does mastering a bunch of skills make you super strong.
Despite gaining Skill Slots from Levels, you still must purchase the actual Skill itself, as well as upgrade it to a higher level. Each Skill Tier takes up a Skill slot (up to 3 for the Expert level). This is to showcase your "training" to master the Skill or Craft. The EXCEPTION to this rule is at Character Creation, as you can expend and apply your 5 Skill Slots (4 if you have a Kekkei Genkai) as you wish to create your character.

Crafts!
Crafts are special skills that any shinobi or non-shinobi character can learn. These are good out of combat talents to have, as they allow you to make weapons rather than buy the standard weak ones from the shops! Unlike shinobi skills, Crafts require 1 skill point EACH. However their efficiency is more heavily determined by attributes!
Crafts Require 500 EXP to learn.

Novice (Costs 250 EXP to obtain):
A Novice is a student who can learn the techniques of the craft, but doesn't have any special talent in it yet (they are still learning). This is usually someone who either is new to the shinobi world, or picked up a skill just to add some versatility to their arsenal (but isn't serious about using it).
Adept (Costs 500 EXP to obtain):
An Adept is someone who has learned the discipline and has become somewhat familiar with it (but still has room to grow). They usually have some type of perk that arises from their grown familiarity and experience with that set of techniques or skill. They may not be a master, but they are either working up to it (or are adequately incorporating this skill as one of their sub-fields of expertise).
Expert (Costs 750 EXP to obtain):
An Expert is someone who has mastered the discipline (and only need to improve their body and mind for the field). Using these techniques is much easier for them than before, and has likely become a major facet of their fighting style.

Adept: At this stage you are beginning to hone your chakra control, and realize the elements of Shape Manipulation (shaping your chakra into something like a ball or a stream) and Nature Manipulation (converting your chakra into an element like Fire). Your Ninjutsu costs only 75% of its previous cost. You also can use 1 jutsu without any hand seals. This will be considered your "Signature Jutsu". Ninjutsu of ONE Element gains +1 rank in Power (up to X). Non-Elemental Ninjutsu can be used to gain a +1 Rank in Power instead of an Element.
Expert: At this stage you have mastered the art of Ninjutsu. Your Ninjutsu only costs 50% its previous amount (doesn't stack with the previous 25%). You now can choose up to three Ninjutsu that don't require hand seals as your signature Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu from TWO of your elements gain a +1 rank in Power (Up to X).

Genjutsu (Illusion Technique)
Novice: At this stage you are just learning the concept of using chakra to invade your opponent's senses. You can learn up to C-Rank Genjutsu techniques. Genjutsu effectiveness is determined by your INTELLIGENCE and is countered by INTELLIGENCE.
Adept: At this stage you are more familiar with the concept of Genjutsu and using them to invade your opponent's senses. Your Genjutsu effectiveness is apparent. You also can use up to three Genjutsu in a thread without having to mention it at the end of your posts (it must still be narrated properly however). Can learn up to B-Rank Genjutsu.
Expert: At this stage you have mastered the art of Genjutsu. Not only has your chakra control granted your Genjutsu only 75% the cost, but you can now use five different Genjutsu without mentioning them at the end of your posts (they must still be narrated properly however). Can learn up to S-Rank Genjutsu.

Taijutsu (Martial Art/Body Technique)
Novice: At this stage you are just learning the art of Martial Arts. You can learn Taijutsu techniques. Taijutsu techniques are determined by your STATs, however the jutsu themselves can provide boosts to your damage.
Adept: At this stage you are beginning to familiarize yourself with the discipline of martial arts. You gain focus and physical endurance. Your Taijutsu costs 75% it's previous cost to use. While you are using a Taijutsu style (I.e. Strong Fist) ONE TIER towards a stat like Movement, Constitution, Coordination, Strength, or even Intuition (caps at X rank). This Tier DOES count for your Attributes when you're using Taijutsu (for the Attribute itself, not for Stamina). DOES NOT stack with Bukijutsu tiers.
Expert: At this stage you have mastered the art of Taijutsu. You've reached the epitome of martial arts. Not only has your endurance granted your Taijutsu only 50% the cost, but you gain a total of TWO separate tiers to access with a Taijutsu style, which goes toward TWO separate stats (which must be Strength, Coordination, Movement, Constitution, or Intuition). DOES NOT stack with Bukijutsu Tiers.
Adept: At this stage you are beginning to familiarize yourself with the discipline of martial arts. You gain focus and physical endurance. Your Taijutsu costs 75% it's previous cost to use. Bukijutsu (Weapon Technique)
Novice: You are just getting used to the world of Bukijutsu (Weapons). You can learn Bukijutsu techniques, and use/buy weapons from the Bukijutsu section of the shop. Bukijutsu techniques are determined by your stats, however the jutsu themselves can provide buffs to damage or to speed (see Jutsu section for more details).
Adept: At this stage you have learned the art of Bukijutsu, using weapons to your advantage. You've gained some use in them, and your usage of them costs you less stamina. Bukijutsu techniques cost you only 75% of their previous cost. You can choose up to two weapons to start with upon obtaining this level! While using a weapon style gain a TIER to either Strength, Coordination, Movement, Intuition, or Constitution!
Expert: At this stage you have mastered the art of Bukijutsu. Not only has your endurance granted your Bukijutsu only 50% the cost, but you are able to start with FIVE different weapons! This replaces the two starters from Adept. Every time you use a Weapon Style you can also gain a choice of TWO TIERS to (one for two different stats)! Cannot stack the two tiers into one stat nor can they stack with Taijutsu.
Adept: At this stage you have learned the art of Bukijutsu, using weapons to your advantage. You've gained some use in them, and your usage of them costs you less stamina. Kanchi (Sensory Jutsu)
Novice: You possess a faint affinity for sensing chakra. You can learn the Chakra Sensing Technique (see Jutsu section for details). You can passively sense the usage of an S rank output or higher without using chakra or focusing! Ex. Someone uses Great Fire Annihilation, Someone activates Version 2 of a Bijuu's chakra. The strength of your sensory is determined by your technique, and your TRACKING Attribute!
Adept: At this Stage you have begun to become more proficient in the Chakra Sensing Technique! It costs 25% less chakra to maintain, you can use it without hand seals, you can passively sense the usage of an A rank output or higher without using chakra or focusing (I.e. someone uses Chidori or Someone Activates Version 1 of a Bijuu).
Expert: At this stage you have mastered the Chakra Sensing Technique! It costs 50% less chakra to maintain, and it's become so strong, that you gain a tier to TRACKING when it's active! (Must be spending the chakra on the technique to gain the perk!)
Adept: At this Stage you have begun to become more proficient in the Chakra Sensing Technique! Kuchiyose (Summoning Jutsu)
Novice: You have learned how to summon animals. You can now sign a contract and use up to A rank summons (if you possess the Stamina for it). See Summoning Topic for more information on Summoning Jutsu. Unlike most fields, attributes do not play much factor here. As long as you have the chakra to summon, you're on an equal playing field with another character basically.
Adept: You have become more experienced in the art of Summoning Jutsu. It now costs 50% less chakra to summon! You can also use the Summoning Jutsu without Hand Seals.
Expert: At this stage you are a master of the Summoning Jutsu! At this point you are able to summon an S ranked Summon (Aka a BOSS Summon). You can also gain a second contract (either through registration or grabbing someone else's).
Adept: You have become more experienced in the art of Summoning Jutsu. It now costs 50% less chakra to summon! You can also use the Summoning Jutsu without Hand Seals.
Expert: At this stage you are a master of the Summoning Jutsu! At this point you are able to summon an S ranked Summon (Aka a BOSS Summon). You can also gain a second contract (either through registration or grabbing someone else's).
Advanced Shinobi Skills
Ijutsu (Medical Ninjutsu)
Novice: You can now revive a dying fish.You have learned how to use up to A-Ranked Medical Ninjutsu (including the Mystical Healing Palm)! You can also use med-kits (an item in shop). Effectiveness of Medical Ninjutsu is determined by your INTELLIGENCE Attribute.
Adept: You have become more proficient in the medical field. You can perform the Mystical Healing Palm Jutsu without hand seals! You can also create Antidotes! Your Medical Ninjutsu also only costs 75% it's usual cost now, due to your increased chakra control.
Expert: You have become a Medical Specialist! You can learn up to S rank Medical Ninjutsu. You can perform up to 2 Medical Ninjutsu without hand seals (not including Mystical Healing Palm, which already you can perform without hand seals). All three are also considered +1 rank higher in effectiveness. Your Medical Ninjutsu also only costs 50% it's usual cost now, due to your increased chakra control.
Adept: You have become more proficient in the medical field. You can perform the Mystical Healing Palm Jutsu without hand seals! You can also create Antidotes! Your Medical Ninjutsu also only costs 75% it's usual cost now, due to your increased chakra control.

Fuinjutsu (Sealing Jutsu)
Novice: You have become an apprentice in the art of Sealing Jutsu. The aspect of sealing objects (or your own jutsu) into scrolls, or Bijuu into Ninja. You can now use up to A-Rank Fuinjutsu techniques! When trying to decrypt an enemy's Fuinjutsu, it's Intelligence vs. Intelligence! (See Jutsu section for more information on Fuinjutsu!)
Adept: You have become more experienced in the art of Seals, and can now cast them without writing them on paper! You can simply draw them with chakra in your fingers! You also can use 3 Fuinjutsu techniques that are considered a tier higher in Intelligence for the purposes of determining whether or not they can be broken! (Caps at X). Also Fuinjutsu only costs 75% of its previous costs!
Expert: Oh wise master of Seals. You're the guy on call for sealing Bijuu. You can now use S-Rank Fuinjutsu Techniques. Five of your Fuinjutsu techniques are considered a tier higher in INTELLIGENCE for the purposes of determining whether or not they can be broken! (Caps at X). They also cost only 50% what they did before!
Adept: You have become more experienced in the art of Seals, and can now cast them without writing them on paper! You can simply draw them with chakra in your fingers! Kugutsu (Puppet Jutsu)
Novice: You have learned how to use puppets! You can learn the Puppet Jutsu! (Requires Chakra Strings). This Skill is a bit tricky, as it involves technical engineering on top of skillful handling! Your SPEED determines how many puppets you can handle. Your TRACKING determines how well you can handle the puppet.So ideally you wanna invest in these two.
Adept: You're starting to get the hand on this puppet thing! You can register 3 free signature puppets (does not include their weapons). Your puppeteering now costs 25% less chakra! If you puppets break, then they will be rebuilt the second you return to the safe zone of your village.
Expert: You're a puppet master! You can register 5 free signature puppets (does not include their weapons). If you puppets break, then they will be rebuilt the second you return to the safe zone of your village. Your puppeteering now costs 50% less chakra! You gain a Tier to SPEED for the purposes of using puppets! (Caps at X, does not stack with other tiers).
