Hozuki Clan
Hozuki Clan History
The Hōzuki Clan (鬼灯一族, Hōzuki Ichizoku) is a group of ninja that settled in Kirigakure after the ending of the Warring States Period.
The members of this clan possess the ability to turn their bodies into liquid state using the Hydrification Technique. This ability however seems to require that they stay well hydrated at all times and as such at least two known members are known to carry water bottles around with them. Mangetsu and Suigetsu are very gifted swordsmen, and are known as the Second Coming of the Demon (鬼人の再来, Kijin no Sairai). It has also produced at least one Mizukage of the village.
Hiden Perks
Unlike Other Hidens, this DOES cost a Skill Point. It also cannot be copied, because it requires a rather advanced ritual to be performed when learned involving time you won't have during a battle (and it's not something that can be perceived by the Sharingan)
This jutsu, a hallmark of the Hōzuki clan, allows the user to liquefy any part of their body at will, from the hair on their head to the muscles in their arms. Gengetsu Hōzuki liquefies into a mixture of oil and water, but it's not clear if this same mixture is used by other members. When the user is struck by a physical attack, the impacted area becomes liquid, causing the attack to pass through them and leave them unharmed. The user then solidifies back into their original form.
In addition to defense, Hōzuki can convert their body into liquid for any number of purposes, such as infiltrating buildings or sneaking up on targets. They can pump water into their muscles to increase their strength, shoot water from their fingers as an attack, or use their bodies to douse targets. Despite the versatility of their liquid states, it renders Hōzuki very vulnerable to Lightning Release. If an attack overwhelms a user and they pass out, their unconscious body will take on a jelly-like quality. This also occurs if they expend all of their chakra. If a Hōzuki is captured and placed inside a sealed container, they will be unable to move or escape. If they go too long without water, then they will die.
